Mr. Nice Guy

The happiest people don't necessarily have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything.
People don't keep journals for themselves. They keep them for other people, like a secret they don't want to tell, but want everyone to know.

Kindergarden...
There was Joy and Antoinette

First Grade...
There was Erica DeLeon

In the Second Grade...
Along came Vicki and that stayed until the Thrid Grade and Crystal was always so pretty

In the Forth Grade...
I saw you once or twice, but I liked Cynthia and Valerie Valenzuela, a twin.

The Fifth Grade came next...
And I finally knew who you were, yet I went with Patricia and the other Valenzuela...

Sixth Grade blew by...
I now knew you existed, but by then I liked your friend...Karen.

Junior High now was upon us, Seventh Graders we were...
And that's when you caught my eye, but not before Cecilia or Valerie Estrada. I asked you a question and three days later...a No.

Eighth Grade was a blur...
But I still remember the tears that you shed, the rejection you said, and graduation, which I have no pictures of, since the camera I had messed up. And no picture with you, yet you might have gotten one instead. It was all about Becky, after another No, and then moved on to Vannesa Casas.

Before Ninth Grade, but after Eighth, was the summer that which I gave it one last shot. I asked once again, and got told I was crazy, but it was okay after we hung out and watched a movie.

Once Ninth Grade hit, so did puberty...
And off to the races it was....there was Jeni, and Rosa, and her cousin Karen, Cindy Tanaka as well. And through it all, I knew there still was a part saved for Kathie.

Tenth grade arrived and I was alive...
Liking Carrie, Monica, Vicky from a different school, but also Huyen and even Mary Joy...though no matter who I liked at the time, dancing the night away at Sadies, was a fun night because my date to that dance was Kathie

Junior Year was here...
And I moved on to a twin, Lysa or Lyly Tran? It was Lysa. Asked her to prom and she took me to Sadies, only to serve drinks with Miss Cobian. The prom was nice, the setting was incredible, and you were not there to share it with me. Finding way at the back of my heart was that small little piece reserved for Kathie.

Alas we are Seniors, Twelveth Grade and on with the rest of our lives...
I dreamed of going to Prom with you but went with Lorraine instead and watched as you danced with Henry. Got over the twin, got rejected by Claudia, and even by a freshman, but no matter what, I never got over the one person in my life that mattered most, Kathie.

Life goes on, with death and school and work, and even though there are many girls in between from, Ami, Julie Lam, Steffy, Adelle, Natasha, Lien, Bernadette, Alejandra(Maria), Tania, Nina, Laura, Cynthia(Type A), Ashley, Melissa, Molly, and many more, it doesn't matter who leaves or enters my life, it all doesn't matter who comes and goes, it just doesn't matter. Though for some reason you never left...you never gone away...and to me that does matter. Honestly, if I didn't have you in my life, I would be devastated...there will always be that small area saved for you, except right now it is the whole thing.

***EDIT***
After 9 years...I can finally say I am over you. Completely. Nothing can bring back any of the feelings I felt for you in the past. You probably will be happy to hear that. A huge weight has been lifted off my shoulder.
