MASH is a great show!
I remember my mom and dad talking about it. Saying how great it is. I never liked it much...in fact I refused to watch it. It just didn't interest me. It always palyed on the weekends during the afternoon and my dad would always watch it. It also reruns around 3 or 4AM...well, I don't know what happened, but I'm guessing it is the late nights that I stay awake (which is the norm now and for the past few years) and MASH was on. Nothing else was on and I decided to watch it. Finally giving that show a chance. I mean I heard great things about it, and it must be good because it was the highest rated series finale til this date (probably until FRIENDS). It was pretty good. And I guess from that one point of me watching that one episode, I began to like it. And I remember during some late nights, I would not go to sleep until MASH was over. LOL.
Now my brother, Peter, has ordered the first 4 seasons of MASH and I have begun to watch it from the first episode since the first season. It is the reason why I am up right now. Watching MASH...and I have grown to like it. I can see why a lot of people watched it during Vietnam. Comes close to home. Also learning about the Korean War in my American History class opened my eyes. I did not know much about it because in High school, the major wars were Civil, Revolutionary, WWI, WWII, etc. I have learned a lot bout the small wars that no one seems to emphasize even though they played a major part in our history. It is very interesting especially since I seem to excell in history, hence leading to my decision on becoming a History Teacher. =) Also MASH was also mentioned in The Perks of Being a Wallflower...my bible...but I digress...anyways...MASH is a good show...watch it whenever you can...it is funny!
